The Department of Commerce successfully organized a “12th Commerce Board Exam Guidance Lecture Series” from 6th January 2026 to 10th January 2026, scheduled daily from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The programme was designed to support and guide students appearing for the HSC Board Examinations, with a special focus on Commerce stream subjects. The sessions aimed to boost students’ confidence and equip them with expert guidance directly from experienced academicians associated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Day 1 – 6th January 2026
Speaker: Prof. Rupali Deshpande

Subject: Organisation of Commerce
Prof. Rupali Deshpande provided in-depth guidance on the Organisation of Commerce syllabus. The session emphasized understanding core concepts, important chapters, and commonly asked questions. She also shared valuable insights into answer-writing techniques and scoring patterns.
Day 2 – 7th January 2026

Subject: Book Keeping and Accountancy
The session focused on conceptual clarity in accounting principles, numerical problem-solving techniques, and common mistakes made by students. Prof. Kale guided students on how to approach practical questions efficiently and maximize scores.
Day 3 – 8th January 2026

Subject: Economics
Prof. Manisha Kale explained key economic concepts with clarity and discussed effective ways to structure answers in theory-based questions. The session also covered revision strategies and tips to handle application-based questions confidently.
Day 4 – 9th January 2026
Speaker: Prof. Manjusha Gongale
Designation: BOS Member and Moderator, Maharashtra State Board
Subject: Secretarial Practice
This session highlighted the importance of presentation, legal terminology, and structured answers in Secretarial Practice. Prof. Gongale guided students on how to approach case studies and theory questions for better scoring.
Day 5 – 10th January 2026
Speaker: Prof. Aparna Vidhate
Designation: Moderator, Maharashtra State Board
Subject: Mathematics
The final session focused on Mathematics, where Prof. Vidhate discussed problem-solving techniques, stepwise presentation, and time management during exams. Students were also advised on selecting the right questions and avoiding common calculation errors.
The lecture series was highly beneficial and well-received by students.
