The Department of Commerce organized a Guest Lecture on “Accounting Standard – 10, IND AS-16 on Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE) ” on 9th March 2026 conducted by CA Sayali Limaye. The session aimed to provide students with an understanding of the different concepts of Property Plant and Equipment (PPE), and to understand elements of cost, recognition of cost, and measurement of cost of Property, Plant and Equipment
During the lecture, the resource person explained the concepts of Property, Plant and Equipment, Costs, Elements of Costs. She also discussed Measurement of cost of an item of Property, Plant and Equipment. Students were also guided by the Cost of the Property, Plant and Equipment to be recognised with practical examples.
The session was very knowledgeable and informative giving students knowledge about Property, Plant and Equipment. It provided students with practical knowledge of valuation of Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE)
