An industrial visit to Persistent Systems Ltd., Hinjewadi, Pune was successfully organized by the BBA-CA Department of the Kaveri College on 13th December 2025. The visit was arranged for the students of FYBBA(CA), SYBBA(CA), and TYBBA(CA) with the objective of providing practical exposure to the software development process and familiarizing students with the various roles and career opportunities in the software industry.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe and experience the professional working environment of a reputed software company. The students and staff were warmly welcomed by Padmashree Madam, who briefed the students about the rules, regulations, and work culture followed at Persistent Systems.
Mr. Abhay Dage from the IT Department delivered an informative session explaining the different job roles available in the software industry, the importance of Artificial Intelligence, and the use of specialized technologies such as MERN, Django and various automation tools. Ms. Raksha shared insights into the employee-centric initiatives of the company by explaining the concept of “My Life at Persistent”, highlighting work-life balance and employee well-being. Mr. Naresh addressed the students by sharing real-world experiences and challenges faced in the industry, emphasizing the importance of continuous upskilling to remain competitive.
An interactive question-and-answer session was conducted, during which students actively participated by asking questions related to industry practices, job opportunities, required skill sets, and career growth. All queries were addressed satisfactorily by the resource persons.
The visit proved to be highly informative and beneficial, offering students valuable industry exposure and practical insights into the corporate IT environment.
