The Department of BBA-IB, Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune, successfully organized a guest lecture on “Basics of Import–Export: From Documentation to Delivery” on 13 April 2026. The session was conducted for the students of BBA-IB with the objective of providing practical exposure to international trade and logistics.
The esteemed guest speaker for the session was Mr. Anand Paranjape, Founder of Exim Management Services, a renowned professional in the field of international trade and logistics. With his vast industry experience, he shared valuable insights into the fundamentals of import and export operations.
During the lecture, Mr. Paranjape explained the complete import-export cycle, beginning from documentation procedures to the final delivery of goods. He highlighted the importance of essential trade documents, customs regulations, logistics coordination, shipping management, and international payment systems. The session also focused on the practical challenges faced in global trade and the need for compliance and efficiency in supply chain operations.
Students gained a clear understanding of the real-world functioning of import-export businesses and the career opportunities available in the field of logistics, supply chain management, and international business. The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussion.
The guest lecture proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all participants. It successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry practices, inspiring students to explore opportunities in the dynamic field of international trade.
