Kaveri Entrepreneurship Development and Start-up Cell (KEDC) of Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce had conducted an expert lecture on the topic, ‘Start Up Motivation and Problem Sensitization’, on 27th July2019.Dr.DeepaSathe,Head,KEDC welcomed Mr.AshishPatane, Dr.Ashok Agrawal, Principal,Dr.MucktaKarmarkarVice-Principal and all the students and staff members. She made all the present aware of the activities of KEDC. Dr. Ashok Agrawal guided the future entrepreneurs. In his address he said,“Start-ups are the back bone of economy”. He also asked students to seek guidance from the speakers who visit Kaveri College to become successful entrepreneurs.
Mr. Ashish Patne who is a first-generation entrepreneur and a polymer engineer, started his journey with Nilkamal plastics in early 2000. Having worked with Henkle Loctite in his previous job,Mr.Patne was induced to start his own company , ‘Shrid Metal Technologies Pvt. Ltd’.which supplies auto and defence components. Today he has big business houses like Jaguar, Maruti and Mahindra and Mahindra as his clients.
While sharing his journey, he mentioned about difficulties faced by him and the great support he received from same business network, friends, suppliers, customers and investors who played a crucial role in giving honest feedback and constant reviews.
Students were motivated to a great deal and were inspired to become future entrepreneurs. Mr. Patne also mentioned few pre-requisites to become successful entrepreneur such as passion, network, effective resource management, positive attitude, conviction and having faith in themselves for their own business idea which students should take into consideration if they want to become entrepreneurs.
The session received large number of students in response from B. Com,BBA and BCA. Mrs. Soniya Kumbhojkar proposed vote of thanks.
