The NSS Unit of Kaveri College of Arts, Science, and Commerce celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. On November 26th, This day is observed annually, to honor the signing of the Constitution in 1949 and its enactment on 26th January 1950. The celebration emphasizes the importance of understanding the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution and reinforces the democratic ideals it upholds. The event commenced with a solemn tribute to the martyrs of the 26/11 attacks, followed by the reading of the Preamble of the Constitution.
Dr. Mukta Karmarkar, Principal, addressed the students, highlighting the significance of the Indian Constitution and the fundamental duties it prescribes. Her speech underscored the Constitution’s pivotal role in shaping India’s democratic journey and safeguarding individual liberties.
Dr. Anand Buddhikot, Vice-Principal, expressed gratitude to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. He elaborated on Dr. Ambedkar’s vision in crafting a framework that ensures justice, equality, and inclusivity, thereby laying the foundation for a strong and progressive nation.
As part of the celebration, students also participated in an Online Quiz on Constitutional Democracy, which helped reinforce their understanding of the Constitution and its democratic principles in an engaging and interactive manner.
