The Commerce Horizon 2025 began with an auspicious inauguration ceremony organized by the Department of Commerce. The event commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony performed by the Vice Principal Dr. Anand Buddhikot, accompanied by the, Dr. Deepa Sathe (Coordinator & Head of Department – Commerce ) . Following this, the Vice Principal addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of innovation, creativity, and student engagement in contemporary commerce education. Dr. Deepa Sathe also shared her thoughts and officially announced the commencement of Commerce Horizon 2025, setting an enthusiastic tone for the events to follow.
First Event: Corporate Chameleon
The first event of the series, titled Corporate Chameleon – Reinventing Existing Products Using AI Tools, encouraged participants to think beyond conventional product lines of established brands. The objective was to use AI-driven innovation to conceptualize completely new product categories for well-known companies. A total of 7 participants actively presented their ideas via PowerPoint presentations. Each team showcased creative and original concepts, demonstrating their ability to merge technology with market adaptability.
The event was judged by Dr. Pooja Ambole, who evaluated the presentations and later shared insightful feedback. She expressed appreciation for several standout ideas, including Apple’s Beauty product line, Zara’s Zara, and Ferrari’s dishwasher concept. Her remarks encouraged the participants and acknowledged their efforts in reimagining brand identities through AI-based creativity.
The smooth execution of the event was made possible under the guidance of teacher coordinators, Assistant Professor Akshay Kumthekar and Assistant Professor Deeksha Shete. Student coordinators Kaivalya Mankar, Saurabh Jadhav, and Anish Kulkarni also contributed significantly to the organization and coordination of the program.
FIRST PRIZE worth Rs. 750 was bagged by Riya Marne (TYBCOM), Product: Apple’s Cosmetics.
SECOND PRIZE worth Rs. 500 was bagged by Rohan Pai and Atharva Pendharkar (SYBBA IB), Product: Tesla’s Shoes.
CONSOLATION PRIZE worth Rs. 300 (Special Prize from Dr. Deepa Sathe, Coordinator) was bagged by Sarakshi Tarkase (SYBCOM), Product: Zara’s Zara.
Second Event: Forensic Files
Forensic Files Competition was conducted on 26th September 2025. The competition aimed to test students’ analytical and fraud-detection skills through multiple stages. It consisted of three rounds: Round 1 – MCQ Quiz: An elimination round where participants attempted multiple-choice questions. The top 5 students were selected for the next round. Round 2 – PPT-based MCQ Quiz: Questions were displayed on a presentation, and participants were required to answer orally. The top 4 participants qualified for the final round. Round 3 – Case Study Challenge: This round had two sub-sections: Oral Questions: Participants had to respond immediately to questions asked orally. Case Study Analysis: Participants were given case studies to solve and present their solutions.
The competition was observed and judged by Mr. Mihir Potnis, CA Finalist, and CFA Level 2 accomplished is also working in PG Bhagwat as an Audit Article. Mihir has explained the participants about viewing the case study and interpreting the same using accounting standard
After a competitive and engaging final round, the winners were declared:
First Prize: Purva Kirne and Manali Gunda (FYBCom) won prize of Rs. 750 ,
Second Prize: Swara Joshi and Nakul Karwa (FYBCom) with a cash prize of Rs. 500
The competition was partly sponsored by Quick Heal, and as a token of appreciation, all participants and winners were awarded Anti-Fraud Packages from Quick Heal.

Day 2 : 27 September 2025 : First Event: Kaveri’s Got Talent
The Department of Commerce, Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune, organized Kaveri’s Got Talent under Commerce Horizon 2025–26 on 27th September 2025. The event provided a lively platform for students to showcase their creative skills in dance, music, poetry, and instrumental performances. A total of 14 enthusiastic participants took part, adding vibrancy and variety to the competition. The event was judged by Mrs. Swetlana Kulkarni, who appreciated the diverse talents and confident presentations of the students.
The competition witnessed spirited performances including beat boxing, solo and duet dances, poetry recitations, guitar playing, and singing.
Siddharth Iyer (FYBCOM) secured the First Prize worth Rs. 750 for his outstanding dance performance, while the Second Prize was jointly won by Sumedh Khare (TYBBA) and Prathamesh Raut (TYBSc CS) worth Rs. 500 for their impressive beat boxing. Consolation Prizes worth Rs. 500 were awarded to singers Gargi Nandurdikar (FYBCOM), Akshata Karandikar (FYBCOM), and Shruti Dorle (TYBCOM) for their melodious semi-classical and Marathi renditions.
The event was conducted smoothly under the guidance of teacher in-charges Mrs. Bhakti Joshirao and Mr. Milind Patil, with wholehearted support from student coordinators Riddhi Gugale, Nikhitha Ravichandran, Manasi Athavale, and Anushka Shinde. The competition concluded on a celebratory note, acknowledging the creativity, enthusiasm, and teamwork of all participants, winners, and volunteers.
Second Event: Creative कारिगर : A Celebration of Creativity and Sustainability
The Department of Commerce, Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, proudly celebrated its annual event Commerce Horizon 2025–26, a vibrant platform that brought together innovation, talent, and entrepreneurial flair under one roof. A major highlight of this year’s celebration was Creative कारिगर, an eco-conscious initiative that invited students to transform waste materials into artistic and useful creations. The event aimed to promote the values of sustainability, creativity, and resourcefulness, aligning perfectly with the college’s vision of holistic education. Students enthusiastically participated and showcased an impressive range of handmade products — from decorative items and paintings to innovative recycled crafts. Each exhibit reflected the students’ commitment to environmental awareness and their ability to combine creativity with practical thinking.
The competition concluded with an award ceremony recognizing the most outstanding entries:
• First Prize worth Rs.750 won by Gayatri Hingane, SYBCOM – for her elegant Handmade Candles, crafted with precision and aesthetic appeal.
Second Prize – Rs. 500/- was bagged by Preeti Magar, SYBCOM – for her exquisite Paintings, which captivated the audience and even attracted live customer orders during the exhibition.
The consolation Prize worth Rs. 500 was bagged by Jeet Taree, SYBCOM – for his Innovative Handmade Products, which stood out for their creativity and functionality.
The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Ms. Vedashree Deshpande, Teacher Coordinator. The dedicated efforts of Student Coordinators, Sanika Apte and Riddhi Kadam, played a crucial role in managing the event seamlessly and motivating participants to bring out their best. The Department extends heartfelt appreciation to all participants, winners, volunteers, and coordinators for making Creative Karigar and Commerce Horizon 2025–26 a grand success. Through this initiative, the Department of Commerce reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing creativity, innovation, and sustainability, inspiring students to become responsible and imaginative contributors to society.
