The NSS Unit of Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized a Fort Conservation Drive at Lohagad Fort on 23rd February 2026 with the objective of preserving and protecting our rich historical heritage.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers who actively engaged in cleaning the fort premises. Volunteers collected and removed plastic waste, cleaned the surrounding areas, and ensured that the historical site was maintained in a neat and orderly condition. The activity focused on promoting cleanliness and environmental conservation.
During the drive, volunteers interacted with visitors and provided them with important information about the historical significance of Lohagad Fort. They explained the fort’s role in Maratha history, its architectural importance, and the need to preserve such monuments as symbols of our glorious cultural legacy.
The initiative aimed to promote responsibility toward safeguarding historical monuments and to educate the younger generation about the importance of conserving forts. The drive was conducted in a disciplined and enthusiastic manner, reflecting the strong commitment of NSS volunteers toward heritage preservation and social service.
