The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, organized an innovative competition titled “Design Your Syllabus” on 29th July 2026 at 11:30 AM in the AV Room. The event was conducted for undergraduate students to promote creativity, innovation, and awareness about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The competition encouraged students to think like curriculum designers by creating a one-semester multidisciplinary syllabus. Participants were asked to integrate various NEP curriculum components such as Core Courses (CC), Vocational Skill Courses (VSC), Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC), Open Electives (OE), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Value Education Courses (VEC), Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Internships, and Experiential Learning into their proposed syllabus.
Students enthusiastically participated by presenting their innovative syllabus designs, explaining the objectives, course structure, and expected learning outcomes. The activity provided a platform for students to understand the importance of curriculum planning and the flexibility introduced under NEP 2020. It also enhanced their critical thinking, creativity, presentation skills, and understanding of interdisciplinary education.
The competition was successfully conducted under the guidance of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), with the support of Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar and Mrs. Soniya V. Kumbhojkar, President, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The event inspired students to contribute innovative ideas towards shaping the future of education and highlighted the significance of student participation in academic innovation.
