The Department of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Business Administration – International Business (BBA-IB) at Kaveri College of Arts, Science, and Commerce jointly organized a psychological awareness event titled “Inside Out: Know Your Personality” on 27 January 2026. The event was conducted with the objective of promoting psychological awareness among participants, enhancing self-awareness, and supporting job preparedness and personal development, particularly for students of the BBA-IB programme.
The session aimed to familiarize students with the relevance of psychological assessment in understanding individual personality traits, emotional functioning, and coping mechanisms, thereby equipping them with insights beneficial for academic growth, career planning, and overall well-being.
The event was anchored by student host Ms. Shriya Karve. Students from the Third Year B.A. Psychology programme Ms. Mihika Hadap, Ms. Priyal Shah, and Ms. Sanika Lodhe provided an introduction and detailed explanation of the psychological assessments administered during the event. Their role involved orienting participants to the purpose, structure, and ethical considerations of the assessments.
During the session, Second Year B.A. Psychology students administered standardized psychological assessments free of cost to the participants in order to facilitate self-understanding, identify emotional and behavioural patterns, and encourage informed reflection on mental health and personality dimensions. The assessments conducted included the Coping Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and the Big Five Personality Inventory, collectively offering a comprehensive evaluation of stress management styles, anxiety levels, and core personality traits.
In addition to the assessment segment, counseling booths were set up where psychology students provided basic mental health support and psychological first aid. These booths served as a safe and confidential space for students seeking emotional support, guidance, or simply a non-judgmental listening ear, thereby reinforcing the importance of mental health awareness and peer support within the academic community.
