A celebration of artistic flair and intellectual exchange unfolded at Kaveri College of Arts, Seience and Commerce with the Kaveri Arts Festival 2025, held on 24 September, 2025. The one-day cultural extravaganza brought together students from across Pune, weaving together threads of creativity, knowledge, and youthful vibrancy,
The festival was formally inaugurated by Dr. Muckta Karmarkar (Principal), Dr. Anand Buddhikot (Vice Principal), and Mrs. Chitra Alavani (IQAC Coordinator), who applauded the students’ energy and encouraged them to pursue holistic development through cultural involyement.
The day’s events commenced with Psych Bingo, a lively and interactive game curated by the Department of Psychology, where participants tested their memory, reflexes, and psychological acumen with fun games.
This was followed by the much-anticipated Fiction Fashion Fiesta, a dazzling costume parade where characters from literature, mythology, and fantasy came alive on stage. Participants strutted the runway in meticulously designed outfits that blended monologue with visual spectacle. The final round was adjudicated by Dr. Deepa Sathe, HoD Commerce Department, who praised the originality and theatrical flair on display.
Adding an intellectual dimension to the festival, the “Chai Pe Charcha: Economy 360°” panel discussion stirred thoughtful dialogue on India’s evolving economic landscape. Moderated by Dr. Girija Lagad, an esteemed Economics and Policy Research Expert, and joined by Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, the session provided students with a nuanced understanding of contemporary economic trends and challenges.
After a refreshing tea break that allowed students and guests to network and interact, the final rounds of events were conducted with equal enthusiasm. The festival witnessed participation from premier institutions including Fergusson College, Dr. Shamrao Kalmadi Junior College, SSPM Day School & Junior College, DY Patil College, MIT College, Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Engineering, and H.V.Desai College, alongside the host, Kaveri College.
