Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune, in collaboration with Quick Heal Foundation, Pune, successfully organized the Kaveri Cyber Carnival on 18th August 2026 under the Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha initiative. The event aimed to create awareness among students and youth about cyber security, digital hygiene, online threats, and responsible digital practices.
The event was graced by Dr. Leena Satpute, Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Expert, as the Resource Person, along with Principal Dr. Mukta Karmarkar, Vice-Principal Dr. Anand Buddhikot, IQAC Head Prof. Chitra Alavani, and Quick Heal Club Teacher Coordinator Prof. Chaitra Uchil.
Prof. Chaitra Uchil introduced the purpose and schedule of the event and highlighted the activities conducted by the Kaveri Quick Heal Club. Principal Dr. Mukta Karmarkar, in her welcome address, emphasized the importance of developing safe and responsible cyber habits and creating digitally aware citizens.
Dr. Leena Satpute delivered an insightful session on “From Clicks to Consequences: Understanding Digital Vulnerabilities.” She discussed online threats, cyber fraud, digital security, and responsible online behaviour. She explained common cyber threats such as Phishing, Smishing, Vishing, and Social Engineering and stressed the importance of timely reporting of cybercrimes and preserving digital evidence. She encouraged students to follow the three-point formula: “Stop, Think & React” while using digital platforms.
As part of the carnival, students organized engaging cyber security-based activities including Cyber Bingo, Mystery Box, Cyber Monopoly, and Cyber Attack. These activities helped students understand cyber security concepts in an interactive and enjoyable manner.
Mr. Dipu Singh, Project Executive, Quick Heal Foundation, marked his presence at the event and appreciated the efforts of the students. Students participated in large numbers with great enthusiasm, making the event informative, interactive, and impactful.
The Kaveri Cyber Carnival 2026 successfully promoted cyber awareness and responsible digital behaviour among students. The event was organized under the leadership of Prof. Chaitra Uchil, Coordinator, Kaveri Quick Heal Club, and contributed significantly towards building a safer and more responsible digital community.
