Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce has partnered with the Quick Heal Foundation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the “Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha” programme. The initiative is being introduced under the visionary leadership of Mrs. Anupama Katkar, Chairperson, Quick Heal Foundation, with the objective of empowering students as responsible digital citizens and strengthening cyber security awareness. Based on this year’s theme, “My Data, My Responsibility,” the programme will equip students with essential cyber safety knowledge while enabling them to lead awareness campaigns and promote safe digital practices within the community.
As part of this collaboration, the newly selected Cyber Warriors of Kaveri College participated in an intensive orientation and training programme held on 25 June 2026 at the Quick Heal Foundation Office, Viman Nagar, Pune.
The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Ajay Shirke, Programme Lead and Execution Head, Quick Heal Foundation, Mr. Dipu Singh, and Ms. Gayatri Keskar, CSR Development Professional and Mentor, Quick Heal Foundation. The resource persons trained students on cyber hygiene, data privacy, responsible digital behaviour, cyber fraud prevention, leadership, communication, project planning, event management, and community engagement.
Addressing the participants, Mrs. Anupama Katkar emphasized that “My Data, My Responsibility” is more than a theme—it is a call for every individual to safeguard personal information and promote responsible digital practices. She encouraged the Cyber Warriors to become ambassadors of cyber safety by conducting awareness programmes in schools, colleges, and the community.
Mrs. Chaithra Ranjit Uchil, Faculty Coordinator, along with the newly appointed Cyber Warrior Club office bearers: Mr. Avaneesh Amit Kitkule (President), Ms. Richa Sanjay Gupta (Secretary), Mr. Pranav Gorakh Joree (Media Director), and Ms. Suhani Sanjay Maurya (Activity Director). The team will lead cyber security awareness initiatives throughout the academic year.
Principal Dr. Mukta Karmarkar congratulated the selected students on their achievement and expressed confidence that they would emerge as responsible digital leaders, inspiring their peers and the community to adopt safe cyber practices. Vice Principal Dr. Anand Buddhikot, appreciated the students’ for their commitment to promoting cyber security awareness and digital literacy through meaningful community engagement.
