Board of Students Development has celebrated Marathi Language Conservation Fortnight Program (‘Marathi Bhasha Samvardhan Pandharvada’) in a festive manner. More than 120 students participated in various activities. On 21st January, 2026, Marathi Book Exhibition was organised. Marathi Literature, Encyclopaedia, Poetry books display was a real visual feast for the students. Principal, Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Vice Principal, Dr. Anand Buddhikot, IQAC Head – Chitra Alawani, and Officer, Board of students have addressed the students on the occasion. All teaching and non teaching staff have enthusiastically visited the exhibition. Students could handle different books and encyclopedias.
On 23rd January 2026, Online Marathi Abhivachan Competition for Poem and articles was conducted. More than 60 students have presented the poems and articles. 7 students were shortlisted from the presentation and the final round was conducted on 24 January in physical platform.
On 24th January 2026, Self Composed Poem and Impromptu Speech Competitions were organized. In all 13 students have participated and 6 faculty members have participated in recitation and impromptu competition. The faculty and non-teaching staff of the college gave a great response and performed poetry.
Arjit Patil from SYBCOM won First Prize for the Impromptu Marathi Speech Competition. Students were given a chit on a subject on the spot and expected to present a topic in 3 minutes. Viraj Diwekar from SYBCOM won the first prize in the Self Composed Poetry Recitation Competition. Sharvani Paranjape from SYBCOM won the First Prize in the published Poetry Reading Competition and Sawani Chaudhary from SYBCOM won the second prize.
The competition was followed up with a Guidance Session on ‘Marathi Language Education and Various Future Opportunities’. The keynote speaker Dr. Bhagyashree Pataskar guided the students on how Marathi Language has various opportunities in Media, Content Writing, Television, and Translation. She also emphasized on various programs initiated by the Government of India and the schemes where students can apply and become job ready in the Marathi language.
Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Mukta Karmarkar and Vice-Principal Dr. Anand Budhikot, Student Development Board Officer Dr. Deepa Sathe, the said Marathi language conservation fortnight was celebrated with great enthusiasm and success.
