The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Kaveri College of Arts, Science, and Commerce commemorated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule on 11th April 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence. The event was organized to pay tribute to his outstanding contributions to social reform, education, and the promotion of equality.
Mr. Nilesh Nemade, NSS Program Officer, addressed the students and elaborated on the remarkable contributions of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule towards society. He highlighted Phule’s pioneering efforts in promoting education for women and the underprivileged, his fight against social inequalities, and his dedication to building a just and inclusive society.
On this occasion, a documentary session was conducted to provide students with deeper insight into life, work, and ideology of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. The documentary highlighted his relentless efforts in eradicating caste discrimination and advocating for inclusive education, particularly for women and the underprivileged sections of society.
The celebration was thoughtfully designed to instill a sense of social awareness and responsibility among students, encouraging them to contribute towards the betterment of society actively. Overall, the observance of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti served as a meaningful reminder of his enduring legacy and reinforced the importance of continuing his mission to build a just, equitable, and inclusive society.
