The Department of B.Sc. Computer Science organized a “one-day workshop on “Professional Readiness: Resume, LinkedIn and Interview Skills Training” on 14 March 2026 at 10:00 AM. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ professional readiness and prepare them for career opportunities and placement processes. The workshop was conducted by experienced industry professionals who shared their expertise on different aspects of professional development.
The workshop covered important topics such as Resume and CV Writing, LinkedIn Profile Setup, Interview Skills, Placement Preparation, Soft Skills, Personal Branding, and Networking Skills. The workshop aimed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and practical guidance required to prepare for the professional world. Through this session, students learned how to create a strong and professional resume, build an effective LinkedIn presence, and improve their confidence during interviews. The workshop also helped students understand industry expectations and enhanced their communication, networking, and overall professional skills, thereby preparing them better for future career opportunities.The workshop was graced by Principal Dr.Muckta Karmarkar, Vice Principal Dr. Anand Buddhikot, B.Sc.CS coordinator Mr.Nilesh Nemade, and faculty members
Mrs. Neha Godse, GRC Security Consultant at Accenture, delivered an insightful session focusing on Resume, CV and LinkedIn Readiness. She guided students on how to prepare an effective resume, build a strong LinkedIn profile, and present their skills and achievements professionally. She explained the difference between CV and Resume.She also explained what to include in CV and what not to.She also briefed on LinkedIn Optimization tips, Building professional LinkedIn profile, tips to improve Resume, Key sections of good resume. She gave information on Application Tracking System(ATS).
In the second session Mrs. Deepti Mantri, Technical Trainer from L & T Infotech, conducted a session on Interview and Placement Preparation, where she explained interview techniques, shared practical tips on answering interview questions confidently, and guided students on effective preparation strategies for placement opportunities. She also discussed a few Q & A.
In the third session Alumni Mr. Pranil Kulkarni, Specialist in Cyber Security at Allianz Services, guided on time management and work ethics. He addressed students on the importance of core employability and professional skills required in the industry, emphasizing communication skills, professional ethics, and continuous learning for career success. He also briefed on time management. He also gave some helpful tips and tricks for time management.
In the fourth session Alumni Ms. Harshada Khaladkar, Clinical Psychologist, took a session on Emotional Wellbeing at workplace guided students on Managing One’s self. She briefed on self regulation with Emotional Intelligence and Regulence. She briefed how emotions, thoughts, behaviour are interdependent. She guided us on navigating in a team with boundaries. She motivated students on assertive communication in life.
The workshop provided valuable industry insights and helped students understand the expectations of employers, thereby motivating them to enhance their professional and career readiness skills. The workshop received a huge response from students. FYBScCS student Ms. Sonam compered the workshop and proposed vote of thanks for all sessions.
