The session aimed to educate students about Tuberculosis (TB), address common misconceptions, promote early detection, and reduce the stigma associated with the disease.
Guest speaker Mr. Tejas Sonawane explained the causes, preventive measures, early symptoms, importance of seeking immediate medical assistance, and the need for uninterrupted treatment for complete recovery. He also highlighted the role of youth in dispelling myths, reducing social stigma, and sharing accurate health information with families and local communities.
A key highlight of the event was the collective pledge taken by NSS volunteers towards a TB-free nation. The volunteers pledged to support individuals affected by TB and spread awareness about the disease. Students were also guided to register and take the official TB Mukt Bharat Oath through the Central Government’s national portal.
At the conclusion, Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar appreciated the volunteers for their proactive participation and civic dedication and encouraged them to continue contributing to community service initiatives through NSS.
