The NSS Unit of Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized a Voter Awareness Drive to educate and motivate citizens, particularly young voters, to actively participate in the democratic process.
The programme aimed to highlight the importance of voting, promote ethical electoral practices, and emphasize the crucial role of youth in building a strong democracy. NSS volunteers prepared and displayed attractive rally boards and placards bearing meaningful messages such as “Your Vote, Your Power,” “Every Vote Counts,” and “Proud to be a Responsible Voter.”
As part of the drive, a public awareness rally was conducted in and around the college campus as well as nearby localities. The rally followed the route from the college campus to SNDT College, then from SNDT to Dashabhuja Ganpati, and finally returned to the college. Volunteers raised awareness through slogan chanting, poster exhibitions, and direct interaction with the public, explaining the importance of voter registration, the voting process, and the responsibility of making informed choices.
The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of the Principal, NSS Programme Officers, and faculty members. The enthusiastic participation and disciplined efforts of NSS volunteers made the drive effective and impactful, reinforcing the NSS motto “Not Me, But You.”
