Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce had organised a workshop on “Gateway to Professional Courses (BBA/BCA/BMS)” on 2nd April 2024 at Jagannath Shetty Auditorium for students interested in pursuing undergraduate courses such as BBA, BCA, and BMS. More than 200 parents and students from across Maharashtra state participated in the workshop. Mr.Vivek Velenkar, renowned writer and Counsellor, Founder and owner ARV InfoTech, Pune, was invited as resource person to address students on the topic “Careers in BBA”. Mr. Alok Kulkarni, with over 25 years of experience in the corporate and education sector, was a resource person to address students on “How to Crack BBA CET”.
Dr. Ashok Agrawal – Executive Director, Academic – Higher Education and Dr. Muckta Karmarkar – In-Charge Principal were present for the session. The Worksop commenced with an address note by Dr. Ashok Agrawal extended his warm welcome to the guests, parents and students. In his welcome speech he elaborated the various activities conducted by the college and initiative steps taken for the holistic development of the students at Kaveri College. Dr. Shweta Bapat, Co-ordinator BBA and BBA IB provided information about the courses through PPT presentation.
Mr. Vivek Velankar, in his discussion with students and parents, emphasised the crucial role that entrance tests play in gaining admission to undergraduate courses. He focused on the career opportunities in the domain of Law, Defence, Staff selection, Competitive Exams, education at Foreign Universities. He also shared the slide that consists of a BBA curriculum which covers subjects like Accounting, Marketing, Management, and Economics, providing a solid foundation for MBA studies. He guided on how BBA students can apply and prepare for MBA courses and crack the entrance exams and discussed what after graduation and how to select specialisation in the post-graduation.
Mr. Alok Kulkarni in his presentation discussed the structure and marking system of the entrance exam, along with highlighted the important sections to be covered in the exams. He further elaborated, preparation for entrance exams is instrumental in successfully cracking postgraduate entrance exams, as it makes candidates conversant with the exam format, content, and timing constraints, ultimately enhancing their performance and boosting their chances of admission to prestigious programs. He further discussed time management, proper planning, and continuous efforts are the cornerstone of success in any endeavour. By effectively managing time, individuals can utilise their productivity, ensuring that each moment is employed optimally toward their goals. Proper planning provides a roadmap, guiding actions and decisions toward desired outcomes.
During the question-and-answer session, students and parents had clarified doubts they may have regarding the academic program, curriculum, or any other concerns. Those who were registered for the workshop were provided study material by the college. Mrs. Bhakti Joshirao compered and proposed a vote of thanks.
