The NSS Unit of Kaveri College of Arts, Science, and Commerce celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November 2024, to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. This day is observed annually on November 26th to honor the signing of the Indian Constitution in 1949 and its enactment on January 26, 1950. It highlights the importance of understanding the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution and reinforces the democratic ideals it represents.
The event began with a solemn tribute to the martyrs of the 26/11 attacks, followed by a reading of the Constitution Preamble.
Dr. Mukta Karmarkar, Principal addressed the students, on emphasizing the significance of the Indian Constitution and the fundamental duties it upholds. Her speech highlighted the Constitution’s foundational role in shaping India’s democratic journey and protecting individual liberties.
Dr. Anand Buddhikot, Vice-Principal, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. He elaborated on the vital role of the Constitution, which Dr. Ambedkar meticulously crafted to build a strong, just, and inclusive nation.
