“Strive to maintain the balance between attachment and detachment” advised Dr. Girish Jakhotiya, in a guest lecture organized by Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune. A Leadership Development session on ‘Unveiling the Divine Leadership in New Era: Success Mantras of Shri Krishna and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ was conducted on 18th January 2024 in the Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium, KHS Campus, Pune.
The program began with ‘Vidyapeeth Geet’. Prof. Dr. Girish Jakhotiya, a world-renowned Management Consultant was the eminent guest speaker for the lecture. Dr. Pooja Ambole, introduced the speaker. In chair was Mr. Kushal Hegde, Hon. President, Kannada Sangha, Pune. The session was conducted in the presence of Mrs. Indira Salian and Dr. Narayan Hegde, Hon. Vice Presidents, Kannada Sangha, Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Hon. Secretary, Kannada Sangha and Mrs. Sumati Shrinivasan, Admin Head,Kannada Sangha, Pune. Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, In-charge Principal of Kaveri College and Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Executive Director, Academics (Higher Education) were also present on this occasion. Other dignitaries included CMA Abhay Deodhar and CMA Amit Apte and Mr. Ashok Jamenis.
Dr. Narayan Hegde in his address, urged participants to fight for injustice in the way done by Shri Krishna. Dr. Ashok Agrawal urged the students to actively listen and take cues from the upcoming speech of an eminent personality like Dr. Jakhotiya.
Dr. Jakhotiya, in his speech, spoke about the Success Mantras for successful personality development in modern times. He also linked it with the ideals set by Shri Krishna and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He encouraged the principles of social change as advocated by Shri Krishna and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dr. Jakhotiya mentioned ideals like being flexible, changing according to time and necessity, vision, networking, strategic planning, etc. He also promoted engaging in logic and scientific curiosity. He ended with the thought, “Time changes for those who change according to time.”
A Question-answer round was conducted at the end of the session, during which the participants enthusiastically asked questions and their queries were resolved by the speaker.

The session was attended by the students, parents and alumni of students across Pune and outside the city. Session got a huge response from youth. The auditorium was packed with more than 700 participants.
