The Department of Commerce has organized a guidance session on 5th July 2025 in online zoom meeting. The main objective of session was to make the students aware on the scope of CFA Course and to connect students with senior students to guide about planning strategies for clearing CA/CFA examination.
Dr. Deepa Sathe, HOD Commerce, welcomed CA Vivaswan Damle and introduced him to the participants in the session. Mr. Vivaswan is working as Wealth Manager and has worked with the advisory industry for more than 5 years and handled more than 200 crores of business. He is also associated with Toastmasters club in Pune which helped him to build his leadership and communication skills.
In his sharing, Mr. Vivaswan guided students on managing CA with CFA. He insisted on completing first CA Final and then approaching to CFA. He mentioned that CFA is a full-time course with a lot of attention on reading and analysing on various topics. He discussed the possible opportunities after CFA or while pursuing CFA. Internships can facilitate real time or practical experience. Students can get into consultancy or in investment advisory or portfolio management. He answered all the questions during the sessions including how to prepare for the exam, what extensive studies are required, what are the chances of getting an advisory role etc. In all, there was enthusiastic participation from the students and they were excited to ask questions and seek guidance from the speaker. This informative session was attended by 97 students and all teachers of commerce. Dr. Deepa Sathe presented a vote of thanks.
