The Department of BBA had organized a Business Fest on 7th October 2025. Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Principal of Kaveri College, in her inaugural address, emphasized that the event was not merely an occasion for engaging in stimulating discussions and innovative ideas, but also a celebration of the spirit of entrepreneurship, leadership, and collaboration that characterizes the contemporary business world. Ms.Swetalana Kulkarni ,welcomed the dignitaries, teachers and the students for the Business Fest. She talked about various activities to be conducted and the objective behind conducting the Business Fest.

The day commenced with the Masterclass on A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUSINESS MANAGER. The chief guest explained practical insights into the multifaceted role of a business manager. The session highlighted how a manager’s day begins with gaining market and competitive intelligence, followed by team meetings that emphasize people skills, empathy, and leadership. The importance of effective communication, customer centricity, and product management through innovation and value creation was strongly emphasized. The latter half of the day focused on a detailed understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) management, covering aspects such as revenue generation, product costing, margins, business costs, and operating profits. Mr. Kelkar underlined key lessons such as being aware of the business environment, treating HRD as Human Relationship Development, acting as a bridge between thinkers and executors, and fostering a P&L mindset. Overall, the lecture effectively combined real-world practices with managerial skills, inspiring students to adopt a customer-centric, innovative, and financially responsible approach in their future careers.

The masterclass was followed by competition case study marathon –brain storm . The Case Marathon – Brain Storm competition, held as part of the Business Fest 2025–26, offered students an engaging platform to apply their analytical and decision-making skills to real-world business situations. Participants were divided into teams and given challenging business cases requiring them to identify key issues, develop effective strategies, and present innovative solutions within a limited time frame. The event tested their problem-solving, teamwork, and communication abilities while encouraging practical application of management concepts. Judges praised the participants for their logical reasoning, creativity, and clarity in presentation. Overall, the Case Marathon successfully enhanced students’ strategic thinking and provided valuable exposure to real-time business challenges

Students formed teams to simulate market competition, manage resources, and respond to dynamic challenges. The activity encouraged analytical reasoning, teamwork, and leadership skills among students. It provided a fun yet educational experience connecting theory with real-world business practice.
