Curricular and Co-curricular Activities

  1. Industrial Visit was organised to Incubation Center of Celestial Institute of Technology, Katraj, Pune on Friday, 21st April 2023
  2. A session on Vedic Mathematics was organized on 20 April, 2023 at 11:00 am in the A.V. Room. In this session Prof. Anjali Milind Pendse guided the students on how to use Vedic mathematics for calculations with the help of many examples.
  3. Workshop on R-software was organised on Monday 3rd April 2023. Mrs. Pooja Wadodkar, Faculty of Statistics, Kaveri College, Pune was the resource person for the workshop.
  4. Guest lecture on Boostrap was conducted on 14th December 2022. Mr. Anurag Bhute was the resource person for the session.
  5. A session on Project Guidelines for TYBSc CS students was organised on 8th  October 2022. Prof. Swati Vijay Pulate, BCS MCA NET from St. Meera’s College was the resource person for the session.
  6. A session on “Higher Education & Career Opportunities Abroad” was organized on 28th September 2022. Ms Shelja Giri, Branch Manager, Study Smart, Pune was invited as guest speaker for the event.
  7. 2-days Induction and orientation programme was organized for the first-year students of B.Com., B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.B.A.(CA), B.B.A.(IB), B.B.A. & B.A. on 3rd  and 4th  August 2022 at Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium of the college. On this occasion Guest Speaker Dr. Ashish Tawkar-Leadership Mindset Coach, Pune and Motivational Speaker Dr. Sharda Bapat,Career coach Mr. Anirudh Pathak were invited.
  8. National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February 2022. Mr. Sharad Pustake, President, Foundation for Interdisciplinary Research, Executive Director, Shikhar Outward Bound Institute was the resource person.
  9. Three days National level Kaveri Science Festival 2021-22 was organised from 20 to 22 January 2022 in association with Dhaka University and Skillslate Foundation, Pune. During this event Dr. Ravindra Kshirsagar, Vice Principal Modern College Ganeshkhind Pune, conducted session on ‘Careers in Science’. Mr. Anuj Narag, Senior Manager VWO Mumbai, conducted session on ‘Tips for Resume Writing’. a session on ‘Technical Writing’ by Ms. Kavitha Sudhir, Senior Manager, PTC was organised. Kaveri Science Quiz, Kaveri PPT Competition and Kaveri Website Designing Competition were organised. After the session, the Electronics Project Model Exhibition was organised in which students displayed their project models in the exhibition.
  10. Two days National level Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights and Patents was conducted on 11-12 Dec 2021. The workshop was conducted by Adv. Rakesh Agrawal and Dr. Jayashri Bangali.
  11. The Induction Programme of FY BSc(CS) for the academic year 2021-22 was conducted from 4 October 2021 to 6 October 2021 on an online platform. All FY BSc(CS) students attended the programme on Google meet along with their parents. In the induction program a session on ‘Career Opportunities for Computer Science Students’ was conducted by Mrs. Sayee Bhonge, Career Counsellor. Ms.Abhiruchi Paigude alumni conducted a session on Android technology. Ms.Manaswini Iyer, Mr.Nikhilesh Shivtare and Manaswini Iyer interacted with students and informed about NSS activities.  Ms.Isha Hosur and Ms.Aditi Khatay talked about Coursera courses and shared their academic experience. Ms.Dhanashree Ghate conducted a session on the topic ‘Personality Development’.
  12. Session on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was organized on 25th September 2021. Mr. Ananda Deshmukh, AI/ML Competency Head at Tech Mahindra was the resource person for the session.
  13. Session on ‘Mathematics for Competitive Examinations’ was conducted by Dr. Supriya Anand Devi. Gandhi, Founder, Shriji Mathematics Academy on 23th September 2021.
  14. A session on “Arduino Vs Embedded System World” was conducted on 16th September 2021.  The session was conducted by Dr. Ata Jahangir Moshayedi Prof. Associate at School of Information Engineering Jiangxi University of Science and Technology China. The session was organized on virtual platform zoom.
  15. An online session on “Latest Software Development Trends Predictions”, for all Computer Science students was conducted on 15th September 2021 at 11:00 AM on Zoom Platform. Prof. Anjana R. Arakerimath, HOD, MCA Department, PCCoE, Akurdi was resource person for the session.
  16. A session on “Artificial Intelligence… Today and Tomorrow” was conducted on 9th September 2021. The session was organized on virtual platform zoom.  Dr. S. Jayachandran, from SRM University, Chennai was resource person for the session.
  17. An Intra-college PPT competition in Electronics, Computer Science and Mathematics/Statistics was conducted on the Zoom platform on 1 Mar 2021.
  18. National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February 2021. On this occasion Dr. V.R. Patanakar was invited as resource person. The event was conducted on Zoom platform.
  19. A Webinar on ‘Ethical Hacking & Cyber Crime Investigation’ was organized on 27 and 28 January, 2021. The webinar was organized online on YouTube live platform. Mr. Tanmay Dikshit, Cyber Consultant, Security Researcher, Highly Energetic was the resource person
  20. Induction Programme Conducted for F.Y.B.Sc. Computer Science was conducted on 28th September to 3 October 2020. During the induction program Mrs. Anjali Bapat gave a demonstration on ‘Vigilance in Crisis’. Ms. Michelle guided students on ‘How to keep yourself organized’. Mr. Deepak Datar shared his own experiences on ‘A Journey of Successful Entrepreneur’.
  21. Two Days University Level Workshop on ‘Syllabus Implementation of CBCS 2019 Pattern for SY B.Sc. (Computer Science) Electronics Subject’ was organized on 18-19 June 2020.  The workshop was organized in association with the Board of Studies (Electronics), SPPU. Dr. M.G. Chaskar,Dean, Science and Technology, SPPU was the Chief Guest of the inauguration function of the workshop. Prof. Dr. D. C. Gharpure was the Guest of Honour and Prof. Dr.A.D.Shaligram was the special invitee for the inauguration function.
  22. PPT Competition in Electronics and Computer Science, Spell Master, Quiz and poster competition in Mathematics and Statistics was conducted on 23rd Jan 2020.
  23. A Session on ‘Android Programming’ was conducted by Mr. Paramvir Singh on Wednesday 15th January 2020.
  24. A session on ‘Latest Trends in IT Industry and Project Management’ under Science Association on 19th December 2019. Mr. Rishikesh Deshmukh software engineer Parag Gaikwad, Project Manager, Solution Architect were invited as resource person.
  25. On 27th September 2019 a session on “Interesting Science Stories”, was conducted by Professor, Dr. Sanjay Daga Dhole, Physics Department SPPU.
  26. On 4th September a session on “Artificial Intelligence” was conducted by Ms. Chikita.
  27. On 3rd August 2019 a session on “Arduino Interface and Programming”, was conducted by Dr. Anand Buddhikot, Asst. Professor Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
  28. On 31st July 2019 a session on “Importance of Online / Value added courses in CBSC”, system was conducted for First year BSc Computer science students. The resource person for the Programme was Dr. Jayashri Bangali Coordinator BSc, Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
  29. National Science Day was celebrated on Thursday, 28th February 2019. On this Occasion a guest lecture on the topic ‘Importance of Science and its application’ was arranged. Dr. Jayashree Bangali coordinator B.Sc was the Resource person.
  30. Intra College Power Point Presentationcompetition was organized on 6th February 2019. The competition was judged by Mr. Sidharth Mehendale our alumina, Ms. Chitra Alwani Head Department of Computer Science and Ms. Suvarna Sabnis Staff in Mathematics.
  31. Intra college Project competition was conducted for T.Y. BSc Computer Science students on 2nd February 2019.  Mr. Devendra Joag who is our college alumina judged the completion.
  32. On 28th January 2019 a session was conducted by Mr. Harsh Gaikwad who is an alumina of our college. He conducted a session on IT industry Expectations.
  33. On 27th August 2018 a session was conducted by Dr. Jayashri Bangali on the topic Smart Space.
  34. The inaugural function of Science Association was held on Wednesday, 18th July 2018. On this occasion a session on Advancement in Computer Technology was conducted by Mr. Pradeep Surale from Big Data Engineer.
  35. The Science Day was celebrated on 28th February 2018. Hon. Mr. Chandrahas Shetty, Trustee Kanada sangh’s Pune graced the occasion. The guest speaker for this function was Associate Professor, Dr. Deepa Raman, Academic Cordinator, Sinhagad College of Science Ambegoan.
  36. Power Point Presentation competition in Electronics and Computer Science, Power Point Presentation competition in Maths and Stats, ‘C’ language programming competition and Software Project competition were conducted under science association on 30th January 2018. The competition was judged by Mrs. Anitha Menon from St. Mira’s College Pune. The project competition was judged by Mr. Shantanu Vyas, Director Capgemini, and Pune.
  37. The inauguration function of Science Association was organized on Monday, 25th   September 2017 in A.V Room. Dr. Milind Pande, Project Directot, MIT Group of Institutions was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
  38. Department of Computer Science organized a guest lectures under special guidance for FYBSc(CS) students on ‘Algortihms’ on 7 October 2017 by Ms. Madhuri Deshpande and a lecture on ‘Pointer in C’on 23 January 2018 by Ms. Ashwini Pandharpure.
