Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce Organized Cross Country Championship at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The competition was organized by the sports department of Kaveri College on 12th September 2023. The Inter College Cross Country Championship was held with great enthusiasm. A total 64 teams from various colleges registered their participation for this competition. Cross Country Competition was conducted by Mr. Rohit Tambe-Director-Physical Education, Kaveri College.
Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary, Kannada Sangha, Pune and International Athlete and Sports Coach and ‘Shiv Chhatrapati Award’, ‘Jijamata Award’ and ‘Krida Radni Jeevan Gaurav’ award achiever Ms. Gurbans Kaur, was present for the inauguration of this competition. Mr. Rohit Tambe welcomed the dignitaries on the inauguration of the competition. The honourable chief guests encouraged all the players and students for their participation and wished them great success in the tournament.

Men’s group
First Rank: Mannu Singh (Om Shiv Foundation Arts & Commerce College) (30:30:06)
Second Rank : Partha Tungatkar (S.P.College) (31:16:04)
Third Rank : Ravi Kumar Mohanto (SP International College) (31:23:08)
Women’s Group:
First Rank : Gharsha Patil (Modern College, Shivajinagar) (36:51:58)
Second Rank: Vrishali Uttekar (Agashe College) (37:52:17)
Third Rank : Prachi Rane (RMD Sinhgad College) (40:24:44)
Shahu College, Abasaheb Garware College and Sarhad College respectively won the Team Championship in the Men’s Category while SP College, St. Mira’s College, Siddhivinayak College won the Team Championship in the Women’s Category respectively. The competition was held in a very enthusiastic atmosphere, and it was a perfect display of true sportsmanship and values.
