The Cyber Warriors of Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune, in association with the Quick Heal Foundation Pune, organized an impactful cyber awareness program on 15 August 2024. On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. Mr. Sachin Dodke, Corporator at Warje Ward, Khadakwasla Constituency, conducted the flag hoisting ceremony at Warje area. The program drew a large audience and was graced by Kothrud Division Police Inspector Mr. Manoj Shedge, other dignitaries in the Warje ward and the local citizens. Mr. Manoj Shedge congratulated the Cyber Warriors for their commendable efforts in raising cyber security awareness within the community.
The students of Kaveri College played a crucial role in educating attendees on essential cyber security practices. They emphasized the importance of protecting online bank accounts, avoiding cyber-crimes and phishing scams, and using antivirus software with regular updates. The students also highlighted the significance of verifying links before sharing them, identifying fake news, being cautious about oversharing on social media, and securing devices with multi- factor authentication. The event aimed to empower the community to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly, fostering a culture of cyber vigilance and awareness.
