Kannada Sangha’s Kaveri College of Art, Science and Commerce, Pune in association with Lions Club International had organized a Diabetes Awareness and Organ Donation program on 18th November 2022 at Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium. Dr. Jayashri Bangali-Head, Student Welfare Board of the college, Prof. Nilesh Nemade- NSS Program Officer, Prof. Sujata Bachhav- NSS Assistant Program Officer, Dr. Anand Buddhikot and more than 300 students of the college attended the program. A rally was also organized as part of this program in order to spread awareness in society. The rally commenced from City Pride Kothrud. A large number of college students, athletes, diabetic patients, doctors, eminent citizens from various fields and Lions Club members participated in the rally.
Dr. Chandrahas Shetty-Trustee, Kannada Sangha Pune, and the convener of 19th Lions World Diabetes Day Awareness and Organ Donation Program-2022 successfully organized and fulfilled the main objective of the program. Many expert lectures were held on various topics related to diabetes and people were motivated to donate organs by creating public awareness for organ donation. Proper guidance was given through yoga asanas on how to live a stress-free life in the online era. Citizens took advantage of a free health check-up facility provided at the program.
