The Department of Commerce of the Kaveri College arranged the visit to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for the students of Commerce on 9 May, 2023 with an objective to provide the students with an opportunity to visit the oldest and historical place of stock trading and to make the students understand the working of BSE. BSE is Asia’s first & the Fastest Stock Exchange in the world with the speed of 6 micro seconds and one of India’s leading exchange groups.
Students were mesmerized to see the BSE building as they reached. After a security check at the entrance, students along with the college teachers were taken to the BSE International Convention Hall. Then an Interactive Talk with faculty members from BSE Training Institute. Students were informed about the history, growth and advancement of BSE. Also, the historical relevance and importance of the place was discussed. Students received valuable insights on the guidelines to be followed as investors and traders. Further the students were informed about the various certification courses offered by BSE Training Institute.
Then a question-and-answer session was also done in which the students actively participated.
Lastly, students were allowed to take photos at the prime spots like the Convention Hall, Bull at the entrance, etc. Students were extremely happy to visit BSE and shared that the visit added a great knowledge to them. They thanked the college authorities for this life-time opportunity.
