The Kolors of Kaveri Club organized an activity titled “From Pen to Heart”, dedicated to reviving the lost charm of handwritten letters. The session commenced with an introduction by the student host Ms. Varada Inamdar, who explained the purpose of the event to encourage participants to experience the joy of writing and posting a heartfelt letter to their loved ones, especially at a time when Indian Post services are gradually closing down. This initiative aimed to remind everyone of the personal touch and emotional warmth carried by handwritten communication.
The activity was further enriched by student volunteer Ms. Sudeeksha Gaikwad, who guided the participants on an emotional journey through her narration, evoking nostalgia and emphasizing the intimate connections that letters create. Inspired by her words, all participants, including students, teachers, and the I/C Coordinator Dr. Pooja Ambole, took part in the activity by penning down their feelings. The classroom transformed into a space of quiet reflection, as emotions flowed onto paper. Once completed, each participant joyfully dropped their letter into the classroom’s letter box, and a total of 31 letters were later posted in a nearby post box to begin their journey.
The event concluded with a collective sense of fulfilment and togetherness. The simple yet profound experience of writing and posting letters created cherished memories and highlighted the irreplaceable human connection that handwritten messages foster. “From Pen to Heart” thus served as a gentle reminder to slow down, reconnect with loved ones, and preserve the timeless tradition of letter writing.
