An industrial visit for TYBBA and TY BBA IB students was organized on 8th March, 2025 at WIPRO-PARI, Shirwal. The visit included a guided tour with Mr. Dhananjay Kadam and his team. WIPRO-PARI is a leading provider of automation solutions, specializing in Robotics, assembly lines and smart manufacturing.
The visit began with the proper instructions given by the company staff to the students and an expert session by the Plant Manager. He gave key inputs about the Company and its working. The students were shown the assembly floor and the machine floor. The assembly lines for Ford, BMW, railway bogie were shown. They gave information like how they store raw material, semi-finished products and finished goods as per the requirements of the countries. At the same time they focused on the packaging of the goods, the components used in the finished goods and the labeling of the same. They explained the scope of career options in the Automation industry and that the field of Automation has an even widening scope as a profession. The company exports the products to countries like Malaysia, Egypt, Germany, and Brazil to name a few. The students had interaction with Engineers and Managers to understand the automation solutions. Meanwhile and later after the visit the students asked questions regarding the production process, marketing practices, raw material used, location decisions, customers, clients etc.
