Kaveri TechUtsav 2025 : A Celebration of Innovation, Creativity, and Technical Excellence

The much-awaited Kaveri TechUtsav 2025 kicked off in full swing on January 15th, 2025, bringing together the best minds from BBA(CA), BSc(CS), and MSc(CS) for a celebration of innovation, creativity, and technical excellence. The festival, which saw an incredible turnout, was inaugurated by Dr. Mukta Karmarkar, Principal of Kaveri College of Arts, Science, and Commerce. She was joined by esteemed guests including Dr. Anand Buddhikot (Vice Principal), Ms. Chitra Alavani (BBA-CA Coordinator), Ms. Pallavi Joshi (MSc-CS Coordinator), and Mr. Nilesh Nemade (BSc-CS Coordinator).

Dr. Karmarkar’s inaugural speech encouraged students to make the most of this unique event, highlighting the importance of networking, experiential learning, and collaboration. The event offered a perfect platform for students to showcase their skills, engage with their peers, and deepen their knowledge in the tech domain.

Day 1: A Day of Innovation and Technical Challenges

The first day of Techutsav 2025 was packed with exciting and engaging events that tested creativity, teamwork, and technical expertise.

  1. Tech-Art Fusion

This event allowed students to blend technology and art, presenting their creative ideas through artistic expressions. The task of drawing concepts around technology sparked the students’ imagination and provided a unique platform to showcase their innovation.

  1. Digital Scavenger

A thrilling digital treasure hunt, this event had participants solving puzzles, decoding clues, and navigating through digital tools to complete the challenge. The fast-paced nature of the game made it both fun and intellectually stimulating, while promoting teamwork and quick thinking.

  1. Byte the Brain (Quiz Competition)

A highly competitive quiz event that tested students on technology, current trends, and general awareness. With 19 teams participating, the quiz featured multiple rounds, including a questionnaire, rapid-fire, and logo identification rounds. Team Code Ninjas emerged victorious, while Hackoholics secured the runner-up spot.

  1. Code Cascade

A fun and challenging twist on the classic game of “Chinese Whisper,” but with a coding angle. Teams communicated code snippets from one member to the next, testing their ability to relay accurate information and maintain clarity in their communication. The event highlighted the importance of precise coding and effective teamwork.

The day ended with a prize distribution ceremony, where Dr. Dharmadikari congratulated the winners and shared insights on the importance of planning, goal setting, and maintaining a growth-oriented mindset.

After the intense technical challenges of Day 1, the second day provided students from BBA(CA), BSc (CS), and MSc (CS) an opportunity to unwind, socialize, and engage in light-hearted activities.

  1. Food Stall

The food stall quickly became a favourite hangout spot, offering a variety of snacks and beverages. From crispy bhel and flavourful sandwiches to mouthwatering pastries and refreshing coffee, the food stall catered to every taste and provided the perfect fuel for students to recharge.

  1. Game Stall

The game stall was buzzing with energy, offering a mix of fun and intellectual challenges. Some of the popular activities included:

  • Tic-Tac-Toe with Computer Questions: A creative twist on the classic game, where participants answered tech-related questions to earn their moves on the board.
  • Cryptography Games: Students decoded encrypted messages using basic cryptography principles, testing their problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Crossword Puzzle: A tech-themed crossword puzzle that engaged participants in a race against time, sharpening their critical thinking and vocabulary.

The games promoted teamwork, analytical thinking, and provided a perfect break from the rigors of academia.

Techutsav 2025 successfully blended technical challenges with opportunities for relaxation and recreation, offering an all-encompassing experience for students. The two-day festival was a perfect example of how a well-rounded event can foster both intellectual growth and personal connections, leaving students energized and inspired for the challenges ahead.
