Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized An English Fest Literatti (Illuminating Literary Minds). This fest was organized for three days – Thursday to Saturday, 6, 7 and 8th February 2025. The three-day fest celebrated the vibrant world of English literature and provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and literary talent. The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony graced by the Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar.
DAY 1-
The fest began with a session conducted by Ms.Dhruvi Kapadia,founder of Phoenics World and an alumnus of our college on “Experience Sharing-Literary Ventures : where literature meets business”. Ms.Dhruvi Kapadia shared her experience, and the session concluded with a question-and-answer session. 109 students attended the event.
The next session, which was organized, was Page To Stage, an innovative event aimed at encouraging students to express their personal experiences through creative forms such as poetry, short stories, monologues. The event provided a unique opportunity for budding writers and poets to bring their words to life. The event received overwhelming feedback. 75 students attended the event.
DAY 2
On 7th February 2025, the fest continued with “Fiction Fashion Fiesta” a marvellous costume parade, where students showcased their creativity by dressing up as fictional characters of their choice. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to express their love for literature, cinema and popular culture. The AV room was filled with vibrant costumes and enthusiastic participants, each embodying a unique fictional character. The students also performed a monologue. The judge of this costume parade was Dr.Deepa Sathe, Coordinator of Commerce and head of the Placement Cell. The audience applauded every performance, and the event ended with a prize distribution for best performances. 111 students attended the event.
In the afternoon, a book exchange program was successfully organized by the name “Fare for Fair Readers”. The event aimed to promote the culture of reading and encourage the sustainable practice of sharing books among participants. This initiative proved an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to exchange books and connect with fellow book enthusiasts. 17 students attended the event.
DAY 3
On the last day, the One Act Play performed by the students of FYBA. The play “The 22nd Necklace” is a thriller. The audience were at the edge of their seats and enjoyed watching the play. The play revolved around a mystery and relationships. 77 students attended the event.
The fest ended with a unique fun game “Linguistic Games” in which there were many kinds of literary games such as the accents games, describing the word, knowing one’s genre, tongue twisters and spell bee. This was organized by the students of FYBA and received an overwhelming response from students and faculty members. 60 students attended the event.
To conclude, Literatti, ended on a happy note and with students gaining literary insights. BA Coordinator, Dr. Pooja Ambole guided and motivated students to participate in the various events of Literatti.
