The National Service Scheme and Kaveri Seva Sankalp of Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, celebrated “Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din” with full enthusiasm on 27th February 2024. To Commemorate birth anniversary of the renowned Marathi poet Mr.Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, popularly known by his pen name Kusumagraj. He was a renowned Marathi poet, writer, and social reformer who played a vital role in enriching and promoting the Marathi language. To honour his contributions and celebrate the language itself Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din was celebrated. Executive Director Academics (Higher Education) Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Incharge Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, B.Sc.(CS) Coordinator Dr. Anand Buddhikot, NSS Program Officer Mr. Nilesh Nemade were present. NSS PO Mr. Nilesh Nemade gave the importance of Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din and also introduced the competition.
On the occasion of Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din Self composed poetry competition was organized, the students of the college presented more than 15 poems and presented new poems to the audience.
On this occasion, students participated and presented poems on ‘Nisargatil Me’, ‘Online College’, ‘Jeevan’, ‘Gita’, ‘Maharashtrachi Lek’, ‘Paul Padte Pudhe’, ‘Matra Anubhav Kadvat Hota’, ‘Tiche Te Divya Swapna’, ‘Athvan’, ‘Baba’, ‘Sri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’, ‘Ti Majhi Navin Suruvat’, ‘Ti Majhi’ were presented on this occasion. Mrs. Sujata Bachhav and Ms. Tanvi Zhurunge judged the competition. The Winner of Poem ‘Ti Majhi’ by Prathamesh Sonawane (TYBSC) was honored with the first prize. The entire programme was compered by Mr. Shubham Shinde.
