Today’s India represents a digital economy, which has biggest market potential for global players. “But are we truly ready for it?,” asked Dr. Milind Pande, Director, MITSOT, at Kaveri College. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at the inauguration of the regular activities conducted under Science Association of Kaveri College for the academic year 2017-18.
Dr. Pande said Digitization has practically impacted every sector including Education, Telecom, Banking, agriculture and Healthcare etc. has made careers in digital marketing as one of the best options for students and professionals. He made them aware about the growing cyber-security market and huge demand for cyber-security professionals. He said, “the future belongs to cyber-security engineers as clients, big and small companies, even start-ups are recruiting cyber security professionals.” He urged students to avail government’s E-Education programs where they can use various websites such as EDX.org, MOOCs, SMAC, bigthink.com, etc. These websites are laced with podcasts, videos, notes and also a facility to assess their tests. He also made students aware about the strength, misuse, addiction of social media and growing threat of cyber crime.He encouraged students to become the leader of digital India.
