The ‘Mood Kaveri’ Cultural Event was celebrated on 5th, 6th & 7th February 2024. It was a vibrant celebration that showcased a blend of traditional values and creative expressions. The event encompassed the celebration of Retro & Twins Day, Traditional Day and various activities like Rangoli Competition, T-shirt Painting, Mehendi Competition, Collage Making Competition, created a dynamic and culturally rich atmosphere.
Retro/Twins Day:
Retro Day and Twins Day was celebrated on 5th February 2024. Students were dressed in various Retro styles of the 1970s and 1980s. Retro and Twins Day was a blast. Participants embraced the retro theme, showcasing funky outfits from the past. Twins Day added a delightful twist as students paired in matching attire. Lots of fun and good vibes bringing everyone together in a playful spirit. Dr. Deepa Sathe and Dr. Sayee Kulkarni judged the participants. Ms. Chaithra Uchil coordinated the event.
Rangoli Competition:
The Rangoli competition was organized on 5th February 2024. The theme of the competition was “Festivals of India” Students showcased their artistic skills, making rangolis that represented different festivals. One participant beautifully portrayed the divine presence of Shri Ram in rangoli. Another participant showcased the architectural marvel of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Makar Sankranti rangoli featuring colorful kites, tilgul was beautifully drawn by two of the participants. Ganesh Chaturthi celebration where the beloved deity lord Ganesha was portrayed by the students. The competition was judged by Mrs. Chitral Alavani and Mrs. Pallavi Joshi. The parameters for judging the competition were design, concept and overall presentation. Mrs. Rashmi Joshi coordinated the event.
T–shirt Painting Competition:
The T -Shirt Painting competition was organized on 5th February 2024. The theme of the competition was “Diversity”. Students unleashed their artistic skills, painting the diverse Indian Culture. Ganesh Chaturthi celebration where the beloved deity lord Ganesha was painted by the student highlighting the relevance of the festival and its importance in the diverse Indian Culture. The competition was judged by Dr. Deepa Sathe and Dr. Mukta Bhosale. The parameters for judging the competition were design, neatness, concept and overall presentation. Mrs. Soniya Kumbhojkar coordinated the event.
Traditional Day
Traditional Day was conducted on 6th February 2024 in the college stilts. Students came in large numbers dressed in their traditional best. Girls and boys were dressed in attires of various regions of India, various religions and ethnicities. They showed the uniqueness of the rich cultural diversity of India. As an attraction there were prizes for best dressed boy student and best dressed girl student. Mrs. Sujata Bachhav and Mrs. Chaithra Uchil judged the students meticulously. It was a very tough decision to make as there were many deserving contenders. This collective effort to celebrate tradition brought a sense of unity and pride among the students.
Mehendi Competition
The Mehendi competition was organized on 7th February 2024. The theme of the competition was “Bridal Mehendi”. Students showcased their artistic skills while applying mehendi on either co participant hand or self-hand. Participants were supposed to apply mehendi on the full palm, half hand and on the backside of the hand. Participants while applying mehendi drew various figures like dhol, mahal, elephant, lotus flower etc. in their mehendi. Participants showcased their artistic talent making awesome mehendi designs, turning hands into beautiful canvases. The event buzzed with vibrant patterns and cultural expressions, making it lively celebration. The competition was judged by Dr. Deepa Sathe and Mrs. Pallavi Joshi. The parameters for judging the competition were design, concept, creativity, strokes and Time utilization Mrs. Bhakti Joshirao was co-ordinator for the event.
The Collage Making Competition:
The Collage Making Competition was organized on 7th February 2024. The theme of the competition was “Unity in Diversity”. Students showcased a burst of creativity, exhibited their artistic skills. Indian Culture, Humanity, Costumes of different States, Flags of various countries were portrayed by the student highlighting the significance of the Unity in Diversity. The competition was judged by Dr. Anand Buddhikot and Mr. Nilesh Nemade. The competition was in a group of 2 – 4 students. It was a team activity. Judges assessed entries based on design, neatness, concept and overall presentation. Mrs. Shruti Sastikar coordinated the event.
The Mood Kaveri Cultural Fest was a proof of the unity, creativity, and cultural diversity within the institution. It provided a platform for students and staff to come together, celebrate tradition, and express themselves through art. The event not only showcased the talents but also strengthened the bond among its members, fostering a sense of pride in their cultural heritage. Winners were celebrated, fostering a collaborative atmosphere and leaving a lasting impact on the artistic community at Mood Kaveri. All the winners were felicitated at the hands of Dr. Muckta Karmarkar In-Charge Principal, Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Executive Director Academic-Higher Education. The winners received a cash prize and a certificate.The Mood Kaveri Cultural Event was a great success thanks to the hardworking Organizing Committee led by Prof.Sujata Bachhav.
