Traditional Day
Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce celebrated its Traditional Day on the 28th of January 2025, wherein students showcased vibrant traditional attire. More than 90 students participated in the event which was held in the stilts, highlighting a diverse range of cultural representations. The event culminated in the announcement of the winners: Adwait Deshpande from FYBCOM was declared Mr. Traditional, and Riya Malwatkar from TYBCOM was declared Ms. Traditional. Both winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1000/- each. The celebration was a delightful display of cultural heritage, fostering a sense of unity and pride among students, while honoring their cultural diversity and creativity.
Retro Day
Retro Day was celebrated in a striking black-and-white theme on 29th January 2025. Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Vice Principal Dr. Anand Buddhikot, Dr Pooja Ambole Head Cultural Committee, Ms Chitra Alavani Coordinator BBACA graced the occasion with their presence. The theme took everyone on a nostalgic journey back to a time when simplicity and elegance were captured in shades of gray. Students dressed in black and white embraced the timeless appeal of vintage fashion and iconic black-and-white films, immersing themselves in the styles and spirit of past decades. Some students were dressed up as iconic Bollywood stars like Madhubala, Dimple Kapadia, Dev Anand, and Rajesh Khanna, while others even embraced French retro fashion. Dr Shweta Bapat and Mr.Nilesh Nemade judged the participants. More than 25 students participated enthusiastically and presented various Retro styles of Black and White era. Mrs. Chaithra Uchil, Mrs. Chaitali Kshirsagar were the teacher co-ordinators. Ms. Swara Kulkarni from SYBBACA was declared as Miss Retro and Mr Ved Walbhojkar from SYBBA(IB) was declared as Mr. Retro. They were felicitated at the hands of Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar. The winners received a cash prize of Rs 1000/- and certificate.
Annual Social Gathering
The Annual Social Gathering was organized by the cultural committee on 30th and 31st January 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium. The event featured more than 60 vibrant performances of students, celebrating the rich folk-dance traditions of India. Participants showcased diverse folk styles from different regions, ranging from the energetic Bhangra of Punjab to the graceful Bharatanatyam of Tamil Nadu, the rhythmic Garba of Gujarat to the dynamic Chau dance of the East. The performances highlighted the cultural diversity of the country, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and appreciation for India’s artistic heritage. The audience was captivated by the colorful costumes, synchronized movements, and traditional music that accompanied each performance. The event successfully provided a platform for students to express their talents while fostering an appreciation for Indian folk culture.
