The Department of Physical Education and Sport of Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th August 2022. The event was chaired by Hon. Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal. Vice Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar and Physical Director Mr. Rohit Tambe were present for the event. The Chief Guest and guest of honor for this event were International Swimmer Mr. Rohan More and C.A Mallika Karmarkar.
In his address, Dr. Ashok Agrawal mentioned the importance of maintaining good health through sport. He also pointed out the different kinds of sport activities that influence the life of a person. Mr. Rohit Tambe welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests Mr. Rohan More and C.A Mallika Karmarkar.
The resource person Mr. Rohan More guided the students how to balance studies and sports. He also explained how to distribute proper time to sports, studies and social media every day. He mentioned the ways through which students can do maximum studies in minimum time by using electronic gazette and e-resources.
The resource person CA Mallika Karmarkar guided students on how to minimize academic stress through sports and manage daily routine efficiently. Further, she talked about managing sports training and activities while preparing for competitive examinations.
