NSS Unit of Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce Pune, celebrated NSS Foundation Day on Sunday 24 September,2023. Principal, Dr. Ashok Agrawal and Vice-Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar gave special guidance and support to all NSS Students. NSS Assistant Program Officer Prof. Sujata Bachhav outlined the program and introduced the keynote speaker Dr. Anand Buddhikot.
Dr. Anand Buddhikot gave a presentation on “Role of NSS in Personality Development”. while presenting the concept of personality to the students and said that the transformation from ‘person’ to ‘personality’ involves all aspects of a person – physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual. Sir also told the students about the special characteristics of personality and also talked about the importance of personality development. He also mentioned five broad personality traits. He explained the difference between positive and negative personalities and elaborated upon how to develop personality. He gave solutions for it. He discussed examples for how individuality is formed through the social work of NSS and how social work has a positive effect on our personality. He concluded the lecture by giving examples of many famous personalities and their qualities.
All NSS volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive in the college campus to mark the NSS Foundation Day. Under this campaign, the students cleaned the college and the surrounding area as well as the ground of the college. The program concluded with refreshment. NSS Program Officer Prof. Nilesh Nemade expressed vote of thanks.
