Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized an orientation programme for the first-year students and their parents. The program was organized at Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium of the college on 6th August 2023. The special feature of this gathering was that the students along with parents, were invited for this gathering. The orientation gathering was organized to welcome the first-year students and familiarize them with academics as well as college life at Kaveri. Kannada Sangha Pune’s secretary Mrs. Malati Kalmadi was present as the chief guest for this event. College Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Vice Principal Dr. Muckta Karmarkar and all the faculty members were also present on this occasion. Organizational Development Consultant Mr. Tejas Toro – Serial Entrepreneur was also present for this program to guide the students and parents on what changes we should make in ourselves according to the changing times.
Vice Principal Dr. Mukta Karmarkar in her welcome speech thanked all the parents for their active participation and wished all the students for their academic progress at Kaveri College. Prof. Suchismita Mohanty, head, Cultural Committee, presented glimpses of the various programs and activities conducted in the college during the academic year. On this occasion, former and present students of the college, Ms.Aarushi Patiyal, Ms.Ojaswi Pimpalkar, Ms.Aishwarya Ambalgikar, Ms.Renuka Kotharkar, Ms.Jui Joshi expressed their experiences about Kaveri college. They also expressed their thoughts about the contribution made by the college for their overall development.
Many parents expressed their satisfaction on the occasion that Kaveri College has emphasized on its culture and overall development of students along with education. Few parents also said that their children’s future is in safe hands.
Mrs. Malati Kalmadi, Secretary, Kannada Sangha Pune, briefed about the main guiding principles of The Kaveri Group of Institutes.
Principal Dr. Ashok Agrawal, said that the students of the college are the brand ambassadors of the institution. He said that the success of the students and the satisfaction of the parents are the main indicators of Kaveri College.
The keynote speaker of the program Mr. Tejas Toro while guiding the students and parents on the topic “Tapping Infinity”, explained how we should play our part in the changing era with changing technology. He also said that everyone should accept themselves, love themselves and think about themselves, keeping in mind all aspects of their tendencies, their personality, passion and their interests. He emphasized, to focus on the relevant skill sets while choosing the career. While explaining the role and impact he emphasized on Self-Management, People Management, and Process Management, we should also preserve our culture by focusing on vision in life.
