The Department of Arts organized a seminar titled Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset on the 28th of July 2025. The seminar aimed to provide students with a deep understanding of entrepreneurship, its practical application, and the essential skills required to navigate the job market successfully. Mr. Ninad Thakur, an experienced entrepreneur and the founder of The Eleos Project, was invited as the guest speaker to share his expertise and insights on this vital topic.
Mr. Ninad Thakur, the founder of The Eleos Project, which was established in 2020 with the mission of empowering youth through compassionate leadership, led the seminar. Under his leadership, The Eleos Project has positively impacted over 3,000 students, collaborating with educational institutions and international organizations to foster personal development and leadership skills.
During his session, Mr. Ninad covered several aspects related to entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset, focusing particularly on the following topics:
Current Job Market: Mr. Ninad discussed the dynamic and evolving nature of the job market. He emphasized the need for adaptability and the flexibility required for long-term career sustainability.
Real-Life Experiences: To connect with the students, Mr. Ninad shared personal anecdotes from his college days, offering valuable lessons learned from his own challenges and triumphs.
Importance of Soft Skills: A significant portion of the seminar was dedicated to the importance of developing soft skills, such as interpersonal skills, leadership, and communication. Mr. Ninad stressed the importance of maintaining a balance between technical skills (hard skills) and soft skills, recommending a ratio of 80:20 in favor of soft skills. He explained that soft skills form the foundation of any professional environment and are crucial for career advancement.
Skillset Development: Mr. Ninad encouraged students to focus on developing their people skills and building a strong foundation in leadership and interpersonal communication, as these competencies are key to both entrepreneurship and the professional world.
As part of his closing remarks, Mr. Ninad introduced the Career Launchpad, an exclusive course designed specifically for students of Kaveri College. This course aims to bridge the gap between post-graduation and the job market by providing students with the necessary tools, mindset, and skills to succeed in their professional endeavors. The Career Launchpad program is an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their employability and step confidently into the workforce.
