A session on “Angel Investment/VC Funding Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs” was organized by Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) on 25th June 2025 at 10.00 am in AV hall with objective to provide valuable insights into financial planning and fundraising strategies for budding entrepreneurs. The session aimed to provide insights into how early-stage startups can attract angel or venture capital funding, the evolving investment landscape, and practical tips for pitching and fundraising.
The session was conducted by C.A. Mrs. Prajakta Deo, Director- Posiview Consulting Partnets Pvt Ltd. She has Focused on financial advisory & fund-raising services for Companies in the Real Estate, MSME and Startups space, Helming the Early-Stage Division at Posiview, she has worked on pitches in various domains from media, agritech, fintech, deep-tech, health-tech to D2C and manufacturing.
The session systematically addressed various facets of fundraising process, from initial conceptualization to investor engagement. The session provided a structured overview of funding for startups.
The lecture concluded with an engaging Q&A session. Students and attendees asked insightful questions such as- What are common mistakes founders make when pitching? How important is the founding team versus the idea? Can a non-tech founder raise capital for a tech startup?
The guest lecture was highly informative and beneficial for aspiring entrepreneurs and business students. It offered a real-world perspective on how to raise capital and scale a startup in today’s competitive landscape. The session inspired attendees to think critically about startup funding strategies and underscored the importance of preparation, persistence, and positioning in the entrepreneurial journey.
