The Elocution and Debate Committee successfully organized a public speaking workshop titled “Stage Fright to Spotlight – A Public Speaking Workshop”, conducted by Mrs. Mrinal Kulkarni, a seasoned public speaker and Deputy Manager, HR at Wipro. The session aimed to help students master public speaking in both English and Marathi. Mrs. Kulkarni emphasized the critical impact of effective communication in all aspects of life, particularly in competitions and professional settings. The workshop was highly interactive, encouraging students to participate, ask questions, and engage in real-time speaking activities. One of the key takeaways was the mantra, “Practice makes you perfect,” highlighting that consistent effort is the key to overcoming stage fear.
Through impactful videos featuring Malala Yousafzai and President Joe Biden, the session demonstrated how confidence, clarity, and content can leave a lasting impression. Mrs. Kulkarni discussed the importance of quality content in speeches, especially in competitive scenarios, stressing that strong structure and relevant storytelling can elevate a speaker’s message. She also encouraged the use of meaningful quotes and personal stories to connect better with audiences.
