Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science & Commerce, organized the Annual Sports Prize Distribution Ceremony for the academic year 2022-23 on 16th May, 2023. Mr. Rohan More, International swimmer and Mr. Ranjit Chamle, Shiv Chhatrapati Awardee, were chief guests for this program. On this occasion the principal of the college, Dr. Ashok Agarwal, vice-principal, Dr. Mukta Karmarkar, and the head of the physical education department, Mr. Rohit Tambe were present. In his welcome address, the Principal informed about the significant contribution made by Kaveri College in the social-educational-sports field and the contribution of Kaveri’s students during the pandemic. The students were congratulated and appreciated for their contribution and success in the field of sports.
On this occasion, Kaveri College announced a special scholarship for the students. A cash scholarship of Rs.10000/- was announced for the contribution of the students in the field of sports. Gayatri Dhamale, Bobby, Sachet Peenanath were the winners of this scholarship. Mallika Karmarkar was also felicitated for her achievements in the field of sports.
Chief Guest Mr.Rohan More while interacting with the students asked everyone to dream high and be active and strive to make those dreams come true. He said self-discipline is important in sports. How you present yourself is also important. He motivated the students to prove their own work. He said that having a goal in life is very important.
Chief Guest Mr. Ranjit Chamle threw light on Sports Psychology. He spoke about the importance of self-discipline and motivation. Sir also urged everyone to do something good for the country. He wished the students all the best for their future life. He motivated students to start every task with themselves. He appreciated the students and their mentors for the significant contribution made by Kaveri College in the field of sports in a very short span of time.
On this occasion, more than 350 students of the college were felicitated with cash-prizes, certificates and trophies for their contribution at national level, state level, inter university, inter zonal, zonal participation. Physical Education Head Mr. Rohit Tambe moderated the program and proposed the vote of thanks.
