The seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Tukaram Jadhav, Founder & Director, Unique Academy, Pune in the presence of Mr. B. Baburao, Treasurer, Kannada Sangha Pune, Dr. S. B. Kharosekar, Principal, Ms. Suchismita Mohanty, Vice Principal and Ms. Chitra Alavani, Student Welfare Officer. Dr. Kharosekar in his welcome speech emphasized on the need of considering civil services as a strong career options for students. He said such seminars are important to bring awareness about UPSC and MPSc exams and their preparations.
Mr. Vikrant Bhosale, Faculty, Study Circle, focused more on the preparations for the exam. He said that to clear UPSC exam students need to first build their base with the 4 pillars namely, language ability, conceptual clarity, factual awareness and emotional and intellectual maturity. Dr. Mrunmayi Kulkarni, Faculty, Study Circle, discussed the exam pattern and passing criteria of MPSC exam. She pointed out that many students fail in English and other regional languages and asked them to not take these subjects lightly. Ms. Supriya Shetty, Frelance Trainer, talked on Group Discussion and Personal Interview. She said GD/PI are conducted in the final stage of the exam to identify aspirant as a potential officer through his/her overall conduct.
Total 79 participants participated in the seminar from various colleges from Pune like, Sinhagad Arts and Commerce College, St. Mira’s College, Shivrai Pratishthan, Maharashtra College of Commerce, Sudhatai Mandke College and Kaveri College.
