The Department of B.Sc. Computer Science of Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts Science & Commerce, Pune organized a field visit to Vigyan Ashram, Pabal. This visit provided an opportunity for students to explore how science and technology can significantly impact and enhance the lives of rural communities. Vigyan Ashram is renowned for its focus on practical solutions and hands-on learning, which empower rural populations to become more self-reliant and improve their quality of life. This visit was aimed to introduce modern technology to rural areas to help and solve local problems. It also focused on providing skills and knowledge that can help people in villages. It also gave emphasis on offering hands-on education that is directly useful in real-life situations, rather than just theoretical knowledge.
Dr. Yogesh Kulkarni, Executive Director, Vigyan Ashram, Pabal interacted with students and informed them about establishment and philosophy behind the startup of Vigyan Ashram.
During this field visit, students learned how to think innovatively and develop solutions for various social and technical challenges. In the exhibition, students got exposure for various projects based on IoT, Data Science, solar panels etc. They got to know how to convert an idea into a product.
