On the occasion of World Environment Day, Kannada Sangha Pune’s Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Kaveri Seva Sankalp (KSS) members, organized a public awareness campaign on environmental conservation on 5th June 2024.
The NSS and KSS volunteers took to the streets of Pune to spread the message of environmental protection. They engaged with the public, educating them about the importance of preserving our natural world. The volunteers used slogans, placards, and interactive activities to communicate the urgency of environmental action. They highlighted the threats posed by pollution, deforestation, and climate change.
The campaign emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in protecting the environment. The volunteers encouraged the public to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives, such as reducing waste, conserving water, and using public transportation. Dr. Ashok Agrawal, Executive Director, Academic, Higher Education and Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Principal I/C of Kaveri College congratulated the students for their efforts. The campaign was conducted under the guidance of the NSS PO Mr. Nilesh Nemade.
