The NSS Unit of Kaveri College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune, celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 under the theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution‘ to spread awareness on environmental issues and promote sustainable practices among the public
The NSS volunteers actively participated in spreading awareness among citizens in the Paud Phata area. They used creative methods such as slogan chanting, placard displays, and street interactions to engage with passers-by on topics like Pollution, Global Warming, Water Conservation, and Deforestation. The outreach emphasized actionable lifestyle changes, such as minimizing plastic use, segregating waste, and reducing one’s carbon footprint.
Dr. Muckta Karmarkar, Principal, and Dr. Anand Buddhikot, Vice Principal of Kaveri College appreciated and encouraged the volunteers for their commitment and enthusiasm. The campaign was effectively carried out under the leadership and guidance of NSS Programme Officer Mr. Nilesh Nemade.
